तआरुफ़ और नाम का मतलब

क़ुरआन में ज़िक्र
अल्लाह तआला ने क़ुरआन मजीद में दो जगह हज़रत ज़ुल-किफ़्ल का ज़िक्र फ़रमाया है। सूरह अल-अंबिया (21:85) में अल्लाह फ़रमाता है: "और इस्माईल, इदरीस और ज़ुल-किफ़्ल को भी, ये सब सब्र करने वाले थे।" दूसरी जगह सूरह साद (38:48) में उनका ज़िक्र नेक लोगों के साथ आया है।

इबादत और तक़वा
हज़रत ज़ुल-किफ़्ल की इबादत का हाल यह था कि वो रात के वक़्त तहज्जुद की नमाज़ पढ़ते थे और दिन में नफ़्ल रोज़े रखते थे। उनकी दुआएं बहुत मक़बूल थीं और अल्लाह उनकी दुआओं को जल्दी क़बूल फ़रमाता था। वो हमेशा अल्लाह का ज़िक्र करते रहते थे और लोगों को भी नेकी की तरफ़ बुलाते थे।
